Attacking him will then be a complete waste of your time. In fact, if Rex throws his multi-fireball attack anywhere near the Twins, the Twins will generally have maximum health afterward. The Twins should be ignored as long as both The Ghoul and Diederik remain because The Twins will easily be healed by his own attacks or by Rex's.

The alternate strategy is to simply attack whoever is closest, preferably Rex himself. Then you can use Jahan to teleport the Ghoul or Diederik onto the magma! As such, it should be your main first target, killed it as fast as possible. Note that after you defeat The Twins, it will leave behind a very dangerous magma area that cannot be removed. It's far more dangerous however, so if you choose to attack a lesser boss first, try to deal with the Ghoul. The only advantage there is that Diederik starts in a field of blood, which is advantageous if you have a party member with the Leech Talent. However, you can easily be trapped in that section of the room. You'll be noticed and attacked by Rex, but you'll be able to engage Diederik first. If you're not so confident against the Ghoul, you can try tracing the wall to the left instead. He's all but certain to act before any of your team. Rex always opens with that attack, and usually follows up by a war cry that attempts to strike all four members with Fear. Rex himself will cast a spell that will absolutely trash your party, as he drops a bunch of fireballs that do high direct damage, moderate splash damage, sets the ground on fire (which is almost certain to cause Burning), and he may target only a single party member to take all the fireballs. Even if your party is at Level 9, they can trash you in only a turn or two if they gang up on one party member. At its core, you do not want to face all four at once. There are a number of ways you can try to fight. All three of Rex's friends are spread out, but it won't take them too many turns to come after you. Once you're through the next door, you will speak to Braccus Rex, then engage him.īraccus Rex is powerful himself, but the biggest problem is that he's flanked by three other bad guys you've dealt with before: The Ghoul-That-Guards-The-Lighthouse, The Twins-By-Fire-Joined, and Diederik the Baron of Bones. Hard save ( not quick save) after the conversation. This will be your last chance to barter with Thelyron and you won't be able to buy back anything you sell to him, so you be sure you're only selling stuff you absolutely will not want back. You'll have a conversation with Councillor Jake beyond the force field, as well as Thelyron. Click-drag it onto the pedestal to shut down the force field. You'll find a special amulet in your inventory called Enlightened Amulet. Approach it, then open the inventory of the character who spoke to Zombie Jack. Head inside, go down the stairs in the middle of the church, then approach the blue force field. Once you're ready, head to the church Waypoint Portal.
